An original work of art from one of New Bern's favorite docs, it will sure to be a true treasure! This encaustic journal can be used as a photo album, guest book, diary, or journal of special thoughts. Each photograph is an original; the pages are hand cut and the binding is hand-stitched. The last page is signed by the artist, John F. McQuade, MD. 

If you're not familiar with the encaustic process, it's when an original image is mounted to a rigid surface and beeswax is heated, poured and shaped to size -- all by hand.
